My Story
When I discovered that photography could visualize my feelings, I finally felt seen from the inside — not just by myself, but by others.
In the past ten years, I have created more than 100 self-portraits. From sadness to joy, I’ve shown it all.
People often tell me they see parts of themselves in my work — hidden fragments, suppressed emotions, reminders of purpose.
I am Maja Planinac, a fine art photographer based in San Francisco.
My work has been exhibited internationally, including at the de Young Museum, and is part of private collections around the world.
